Scanning Tips to Help HONOR.WOW.IMPRESS.POP.
Take the time to ensure that you submit a high resolution image that can be properly enlarged to banner size.
High Res vs. Low Res. We're sure you can tell the difference in images below.
HERE'S WHAT WE RECOMMEND:
Submit a high-resolution photo. The higher the resolution (dpi), the sharper and more professional your honoree’s banner will look.
-
AVOID LOW-RES IMAGES pulled from social media or the internet—they’re not meant for large-format printing.
-
SCAN PRINTED PHOTOS AT A MINIMUM OF 300 DPI for a 3"x5" or larger photo.
-
For smaller images, use 600–1200 dpi.
- For tiny yearbook-style photos, go up to 2400 dpi.

SCAN ONLY THE PHOTO AREA (not the extra white space around it) to reduce file size. Black & white photos scan best in grayscale.
Every photo we receive is enhanced by our team—color corrected, sharpened, and cleaned of scratches or blemishes—to look its best when enlarged.
SAVE SETTINGS MATTER. A low-res save can erase a high-res scan. Always save at maximum quality (JPG recommended). Name files clearly using your honoree’s name.
